That is the most telling statistic of all. And you better believe that if they did catch one it would be all over the 6 o'clock news with some TSA idiot on the screen shouting to the world about their success. That hasn't happened, so we know the number is zero.
 
There's news that another screener was rounded up - this time in Boston - for child porn.

Na, no, no, nah, din't 'cha hear? They've really foiled thousands of attacks but they can't reveal for reasons of national security.

Every time the TSA brags it's always the number of times they've caught random innocent people violating one of their arbitrary rules, NOT the number of times they've caught somebody up to no good (also 0.) "We've confiscated nnn,000,000 knives, ##00 guns and nnn,000,000,000,000 bottles of water! JUST LOOK AT THIS PILE OF STUFF!!!"

TSA is not mandated to catch terrorists. If they suspect someone they call an investigative service, such as, airport LEO's, FBI, or if it is a small airport, then they call the Sheriff or local city LEO's. TSA's job is to ensure the traveling publics safety by not allowing danderous articles on the aircraft.

TSA is impotent at stopping any terrorist attempting to do bad things. Within TSA there is coruption at all levels. Most of the management are retired military that have retired at TSA and are double dipping from our tax dollars to the amounts of well over $100K a year.

We need to get rid of TSA.

The Dept of Agriculture SWAT TEAM war on late college loan payments?

Ther IRS sending two armed agents to collect that four cent underpayment?

The EPA war against milk and cow flatulence?

The Secret Service war on carrying anti-obama signs to an obama rally?

Being forced to prove your identity to talk to your congressman but not to vote for him?

I don't know. Something will come up.

I don't know. A lot of us thought they'd already caught OBL years ago with AQ wanting to save face and us waiting for the best time to reveal it.

Besides, we already know any flavor of airport security mainly catches the sloppy and the stupid/crazy. I'd assume AQ respects us enough to send innovative 1st rate terrorist, not the bench warmers.

I'd wager to guess this is spot on. It may not even be AQ who tries either. After we have adapted to previous threats, some terrorists will find weaknesses and figure out ways to exploit them. Example: after the 1993 WTC parking deck bomb, the building was surrounded with large planters which served as barricades for vehicle-borne threats. We all know how the terrorists got around that one...
I shake my head when people compare terrorists to neanderthals; they aren't all that stupid at all.
 
Will any of this actually change? Seems to be almost uniform agreement to get rid of tsa (funny... My phone tried to change tsa to faa). When will the right people do something helpful? Is this all just political b.s.?

Yep. The only way to eliminate the threat is to cure the cause.

Absolutely serious. Before Seal Team 6 I'd give it a 60% chance (20% on the run, 10% already dead, 10% hiding in US)

I believe there could be tons of conspiracies at work, but I lack the hard evidence to back up all of my suspicions.
