Is anybody flying an aircraft today that they were otherwise unable to fly yesterday?

It will be interesting to see if the same question can be posed 9 months from today.

I could have timed it that way, but weather and personal scheduling conflicts have pushed my plans out slightly. I'm a [long time] student who has transitioned from an LSA to an Archer. I've flown it a number of times with my CFI in anticipation of this but now just need my solo endorsement signed again.

Sport Pilots, and those many, many who hold other certificates but are flying with SP privileges, can now legally fly a lot more/bigger/heavier/faster airplanes than they could yesterday.

Have insurance companies gone along with the rule change, or might they prevent someone from flying a bigger bird even if it's legal? Curious.

Not sure you could get an idea of the insurance companies plan ,as the rule just went into effect.

I'll need to reactivate mine once I get my solo endorsement again, so I'll let you know :)

Not that the Archer is more difficult/expensive to fly than the LSA I was flying by myself before, but then again I'm not in the insurance industry.
