This ONLY applies to the plastic puke bags you can find at an ED or urgent care- with the plastic ring and plastic bag attached.

You can use them as a urinary crisis reliever bag when you are 2.7 hours into your 3.3 hour flight. And, bonus: they twist tie themselves for a secure no-leak finish….just keep the ring above the bag.

That is all.

The military ones also double as a chicken costume. Put the white bag over the top of your head and put the yellow envelope on your nose and mouth like a beak. Can make a whole C130 load of paratroopers laugh so hard that they don't vomit during NOE flight. Ask me how I know.

a new dimension to "laughter is the best medicane"!

My only advice on in-flight urine receptacles is to use them at the first sign of distress. Delaying the issue too long can lead to quantity in excess of capacity and force the pilot to hold first one thing and then the other during a busy phase of flight.

My favorite expression from a retired submarine skipper friend when things are getting urgent: “It’s coming out the vents!!”

John and Martha King tell a story about John telling Martha to use a sick sack because he didn't want to land to let her use the bathroom. She hands him the bag after she uses it and said "it leaks." John tries to push it out the "clear prop" window on the cherokee. He says, "You know. At times, words fail you. What I didn't say was 'urine.'"

My new Lancair has a relief tube installed. What is the appropriate cleaning process prior to use?

interestingly enough, there is an entire subreddit dedicated to what NOT to stick your willy into.

A long time ago, I was invited to fly to breakfast with a friend named Marv, in his Bonanza. When I got in, there was a woman's ankle length shoe on the floor of the passenger side, and he moved it to the back and said, "here's the story, but don't tell anyone." He said he was flying home to Michigan from Florida and had to pee, and didn't want to land, so he urinated into a plastic bag, but it started to "weep." So, he put it in his wife's shoe that happened to be in a basket of clothing in the airplane. When he got home, he left the shoe in the airplane and said nothing.

A few weeks later, we ran into Marv and his wife at a restaurant, and they invited us to join them. Before we started talking, he said, "Look, she knows the story. I brought the shoe home, and the dog kept following her around, so I had to fess up."

Don't stick your pinky where you won't stick your dinky
That reminds me of a little rhyme:

When the weather's hot and sticky,
That's no time to dunk your dinky.
When the frost is on the pumpkin,
That's the time for dinky dunkin'

Student here.
Is this on the knowledge test?
