Sorry.

I thought I was thinking about something but I think my hat was too tight.

I think about Nevermind every time I hear a Nirvana song.

If you were thinking of what you ate for dinner, and you didn't have the steak or the fish...you probably had the lasagna.

We all know… and we support you getting a new airplane. It’s ok. Be happy. In fact, since this is causing angst, go ahead and send the signed check, we will take care of this for you.

What are friends for?!!

An errant blast email went out to hundreds at the office in March. The subsequent parade of people tilting at the windmill of "Reply All" -- via Reply All -- was a month-long epic. The side plot was "Please remove me from this list!"

One person made a reference to the first Rambo movie in a reply. I drafted the following, but didn't send it because I just couldn't bring myself to waste one more electron in the pointless struggle:

The first three “Rambo” movies were released in 1982, 1985 & 1988. The character John Rambo was a Vietnam Vet; the US evacuated Saigon in 1973.

An 18 year-old entering Basic this fall (2026) was born in 2008. He or she is farther removed from the third Rambo movie in the series (20 years) than the country as a whole was removed from Vietnam when First Blood premiered. That 2026 Private may have been born to an 18-year old parent, themselves not yet born when the movies were placed in circulation.

That cultural reference might as well have been about the first “talkies”.

I thought something was off about that Vietnam vet in his 30's panhandling in the street. So I asked him about it.

He said he fixie kitty live long long time.

Just another public service tip....if you're ever in the situation where you're "pretty sure" you remember the name of the girl, just play it safe and say "sweetie".
