Anyone?

Partial credit if you know where this is!

Looks like my boat but with wings and the vegetation growing on the outside.

Story might be, 'abandoned and vegetation consumed it'.
I don't think it's a Bellanca.

Ryan Rangemaster? No, Comanche with Lopresti cowl.

I just assumed with our vast and knowledgable membership, surely someone would know something about this!

I'll at least give up the location this afternoon if no one gets it.

There was a similar find last year,, the finder bought it,, transported it to his repair field.
Showed some pics of the clean up process, but then as is always the case,
we havent heard anything else about it... sad

Looks like a test of new ballistic crash equipment. Who needs a chute when you have inflat-a-bush?

Sadly, there is one of these airplanes at almost every airport. Is this one significant?

That is absolutely and without a doubt the one and only never before seen and rarely talked about
Cessna 172-LW which was there attemp at a Low Wing version for pilots who hate having visibility.

What do I win?

Nope. No significance.

First one this far gone that I've stumbled upon.
Aside from the bush, I've seen hundreds of those. Some still tied down. Some with interiors, engines and props removed. Even one with no wings. I doubt the story is that interesting.

A prop for the new Tom Hanks movie...."Lost: 100 feet from the airport"..??

Sabreliners (one is just out of frame to the right) at the City Museum in St. Louis, the most awesomest place in the world. I've left skin all over this place.

Nauga,
and the pukin' pig

I'd guess somewhere in South Florida.

Close.

Stumbled upon this walking around Valkaria airport (X59), just south of Melbourne, when I stopped there on my way to Hollywood FL last weekend.

I've seen a DC3 rotting away at Opa Locka West and an Aero Commander (I think) doing the same at Copperhill, TN. Nothing quite like this, though.

It's a fancy wind triangle that hasn't been maintained. If not, it's the campaign plane of the Socialist Party Candidate for President in 1986.

Cheers

From the satellite photo, I'd say the story is it was sucked off the ramp by a shrubbery vortex!!
