I did this last year and was like "that's a lot."
This year it is 10X as bad... This morning my son goes "Dad, there is a spider in my room.
I captured it and it was one of those with all the babies on its back. Ugh!!!!

Anyway, do this outside and then do it INSIDE your house.
I am burning the place down!!

Seriously, don't do it inside. Just don't.

Sweet dreams.

My last house had so many spiders I was gonna start charing the lille buggers rent!

Well I was going to bed...
Don't do that. They are attracted to human breath and the CO2 you exhale.
They crawl up on your face and bask in your ears and nose like an alligator sunning itself on a rock.
Only instead of alligators, it is spiders and instead of rocks, it is your face.

I was going to go to bed but instead, I am just going to set myself on fire.
It's the only way.

You are aware that as you sleep at night an average of three (3) spiders lower themselves down from the ceiling, into your mouth, and lay their eggs, aren't you? :hairraise:

I would say I believe you but really, it has to be way more than that.
The camera didn't do it justice. Dude! There is a freakin spider woodstock going on outside right now and they all just took the brown acid.

Use Cy-kick , kid and pet safe... Best product on the market and here in AZ, big scorpion killer.... Amazon have it and the reviews say it all

Ha, it probably wasn't even a real spider:

No, the absolute worse is the crapper. I mean there you sit, getting a few moments of quiet away from the wife , kids, and dog. No wait, the friggin dog is in there with you. Geez, damn dog. Anyway you sit with the latest airplane magazine (or your cy of FARs:rolleyes:) just grunting and reading, and then that feeling something is crawling on your butt. You're frozen and really need to squeeze one out, but afraid if you move whatever it is will bite your ass. You hope if you do squeeze one out maybe whatever it is will latch on and go for a turd ride. Yeah that might work. Well, it didn't and the thing bit you on your big cheek and you screamed like a little girl. Everyone rushes to the bathroom asking if you're ok. Uh, yeah, everything is good you say.....

Snakes, even rattlers, don't bother me at all, but spiders turn me into a wobbly little girl. Even a little daddy long leg can freak me out. During the warm months, each time I go into my hangar, I'm on high alert for black widows. Those nasties love to nest in the hangars, so the first thing I do is grab the bug spray and creep around the hangar looking for the fresh-spun, tangled webs of widows. They like the hangar doors and the wheel pants. I once was half-way through changing a flat on the nosewheel when I discovered a black widow hiding inside the wheel pant. That REALLY gave me the heebie-jeebies since my hands had been all up in the there.

The lone exception is a good ol' West Texas tarantula. Those don't bother me at all. I think it's pretty neat when one shows up.

spiders everywhere here too, although I never did the flashlight test. in the last 2 days I've seen 2 different snakes chillin on my property:

Do the flashlight test and report back. Have to hold it right against your temple or the light wont reflect back to your eyes. Cell phone flash works great due to proximity to the camera.

It is interesting how different locations are. I did this at OSH and in a 1/4 mile didn't see a single spider.

When you go to the store you should pick up a few big bags of grass seed and fertilizer . Most people have grass in their yard, you should try it sometime.
Oh and wandering out in your yard at night with a headlamp and your phone just screams of chemtrail truther.

I'm beginning think that it was you who busted the gas meter pipe in a failed attempt to rid yourself of everything that is "trying to get you"

It's that time of year here.
Water restrictions, temps in the 100s.
All of our yards are a nice shade of camouflage.

I understand ! Normal years where I live our entire side of the state is a nice shade of brown. This year we have had steady rain so it is still surprisingly greenish. However, traveling around the state this summer I've noticed the larger cities have jacked up the water rates so much that nobody can afford to water their lawn. Got me thinking it is time to start selling that green rock everybody has in Arizona for their fake lawn.

I believe at OSH they lay out pesticide a week or so before. I didn't notice any type of ground insect the entire time I was there. Normally I'll have a few spiders or something hanging out on my tent in the mornings.

Seriously? At Oshkosh when everyone else was boozing, or asleep/passed out, and in the middle of the night you're out walking around looking for spiders? ? There you go, that's why you didn't see any. Everyone is out drinking and making merry or sleeping so the spider took the opportunity to invade tents, campers, luggage etc. So what you did was bring home Wisconsin spiders to your place!

Looked like a black racer and the other a garter snake I think. Both harmless and eat mice, chipmunks, etc. They good snakes.

Well I was on my way to take a leak. I had a flashlight because I didn't know if the bathrooms would be lit.
We were in HBC though. Maybe that is the bible belt of OSH. It was very quiet the whole time. People just having conversation and once the sunset, that was about it.
No craziness to be found there.

Use a blacklite instead to view all of the scorpions in the yard!

(and, the tarantulas don't necessarily wait for darkness to make an entrance)

And Texas is a great place to live because...???

I like ya, 6PC, I really do. But you know how back in the day, men used to use leather gloves to smack each other across the face? That's what needs to happen to you right now. Who posts something like this?!! What is wrong with you?!

Stop it. Just stop it.

If you do one with cockroaches, I'm quitting the internet.

Took me a couple of reads to figure this one out ... Could not imagine how holding the flashlight right against my temple would show spiders. Imagining the light going in my temple and out my eyes. :D

I was weirded out by finding out all those shiny things in the yard reflecting my headlamp were wolf spiders the first year we were out here, but the year we didn't have many we had worse kinds of bugs... And a lot of them tried to come into the house. So I like it that they're out there now. They eat other stuff.

anyone know WTF is going on here????

I'm not sure but I think there's a small dog in there. Or maybe a Gremlin, I can't tell.
