I'd like to suggest we make this a thread with photos and scoring of courtesy cars that we actually drive. It doesn't matter if it's already been scored 6 months ago, if you drove it this week, let us know what to expect!

I'm also suggesting an easy rating acronym... F.I.N.E. A.S. A.L.L. and a rating, where appropriate, of 1-5, with 5 being awesome.

Fuel state - full is good
Interior cleanliness - some pilots are nasty!
Noises - lack thereof!
Engine light - C'mon, this is either a 1 or a 5! We prefer 5s.
A/C - Does it work? Is it cold?
Smells - subjective, but a lot of 'em smell.
Appearance - are you embarrassed to roll up to a business meeting in it? Or even a restaurant?
Locks - Yes, I've borrowed cars that didn't lock!
Limits - usually 2 hours.

I'll start:

From KILE - Killeen Skylark Field, A mighty Crown Vic!
Fuel state - 5
Interior cleanliness - 4
Noises - 5
Engine light - nope!
A/C - Yes
Smells - 4 - not bad
Appearance - 4 (for an old Crown Vic)
Locks - Yes
Limits - 2 hours.

Engine light - Nope!
A/C - Yes
Smells - 5 Clean!
Appearance - 5
Locks - Yes
Limits - 3 hours.

I left a vehicle at an airport I fly to now and then, maybe I should tell them they can use it as a courtesy car since it’s just sitting.

One of the nicer ones that I remember was KCOE - Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Yes it is parked next to the Rolls.

-All 5’s
-A/C was good but didn’t freeze me out, it was a HOT day and I think the car isn’t used enough
-Limit - cannot remember but I remember we used the car almost the entire day
-The FBO has free cookies! And it is brand new, looks like one of those brand new airpark homes in Alpine WY if ya know what I mean

How could a minty powder blue, low mileage 1980’s Lincoln Towncar with tufted blue velour seating and fake burled walnut plastic dash and door trim be anything but a 5 out of 5?

Plus my son got to see what the automotive glory days of the 80’s was all about.

Blosser Municipal Airport, Concordia Kansas.

Ever have to teach someone how to start an older car? Where’s the push to start button.

Even more interesting in an electric vehicle.
