Ummm...

...David doesn't go, like, to school?

Homeschooling can be done remotely.

Ah!

I did not know that David was home-schooled.

We shall call him, "MiniJesse!"

And I thought my meeting a fractional airline pilot at SFO after work on less than 24 hours' notice was spontaneous.

You guys are nuts!

That is just too cool !!!

You guys are both my heroes. ;)

I'll be up next weekend to cheer David along.

If it weren't for this annoying thing called a job, I'd be up there in a heartbeat. :)

Yeah, ditto.

Oh, wait. If it weren't for this annoying thing called a job, I'd have my ticket already. Well, maybe. Unless the plane breaks again in the hours it'll take.

Jobs are the adult version of zits. If you live long enough, you can outgrow them.

Well hell, I live up in Thornton, and I'm home every other week with nothing to do for six days straight. C'mon up to BJC. I'm A LOT more stingy than Jesse, though, I can't guarantee anything better than Subway and free FBO cookies.

Don't forget that free FBO popcorn you showed me.

Oh and the kiwi fruits. Plus you could offer him 1/10 of your stash of M&Ms

Don't give away all my secrets, now! I had to have something up my sleeve for a prize! Nothing says job well done like a bag of stale popcorn and 3 year old M&Ms.

And I was VERY GLAD to meet you.

If you had arrived at any other time, I would not have been able to see God's Gift To Aviation. I am humbled.
Careful now, you're gonna give me a complex. ;)

Shoot, that's a day and a half to get to Nebraska. I had less than that to get to Aus last time...

Who's plane will be used?

had a nice lunch with David today. got a few rides in his plane and he was nice enough to give me a glider ride too.

Does that merit additional explanation, Antonio?

he hopped me over to the wichita gliderport from stearman field (a whopping 2 miles). i put him in the front seat of the 2-33, told him 'your controls' and didn't touch a damn thing for the next 20 minutes. sounds like a fun ride to me! then he flew me back to my car.

This morning was going to be the first lesson - but there was a blue streak on the nose wheel fairing. After some poking around we could see fuel dripping out of the line that goes into the firewall to drive the fuel pressure indicator. Hoping to get it fixed ASAP.

Sweet. I am really jealous. I have been taking about 1 instrument lesson a week. I'm not having a problem retaining info and I am learning quickly... but I want my ticket now! At the current rate it will take me 2-3 months.. I cant wait that long!!

Yikes. Good luck guys. Glad David made it there OK on what sounds to be like a very long solo cross country.

Really? That sounds super cool.

David has a very nice 180-HP 172, with an outstanding IFR panel.

A 17 year old owns his own plane? Or is it his parents? If it's his, that's quite an accomplishment right there.

After reading about all the rides in different aircraft he gave you, by the time I got to the end I thought you said "he flew me back in my car." :goofy:

Wouldn't that be the opposite side of the aircraft from where it was leaking at 6Y9? ;)

A 17 year old owns his own plane?

Yesiree...it's David's.
