The Adventure Begins at Currahee Mountain

Toccoa is situated in North Georgia and was used during WWII as a training base for the paratroopers. It was the setting for the first Band of Brothers episode. We flew our Mooney there to check out the Currahee Military Museum and the Currahee Mountain.

I was just thinking about this the other day. One of these days I’m gonna drive down and check it out. Flew past it years ago.

Definitely worth the visit. The airport at Toccoa was really nice and super friendly staff.
