The 5th of November

She's not doing great, but only the absentee ballots are counted. There are six people running for 3 seats, and she's narrowly 5th. There were 2 appointed "incumbents" (for folks who resigned), a 3rd who is pretty well known lawyer / business owner around town (once you get to know him you realize he probably isn't the best choice, but who gets to know their school board candidates?) and a guy who is attempting to win a seat for the 2nd time and has been campaigning for years.

The fact that she did so well in absentee voting is kind of a surprise.

Two more seated board members are resigning in the first six months of the next term, so the funny thing is she could end up appointed anyway.

So............... How did
she do?:dunno:

4th out of six for three seats. Two members are resigning - one in Jan and one in June - and I'm trying to talk her into applying for one of the appointments.

She got 3700 votes out of 11000 voters. The spread among the three winners were among the 5000's.
