Does anyone know how to properly test an ignition harness? Is it done with an ohm meter? Any advice would be appreciated. This is a slick 4 cylinder for a Lycoming O-320.
Thanks

You can test for continuity of both the center conductor and the shield with just a multimeter, but you need a hi-pot tester to determine of the insulation is breaking down.

I would use the if in doubt replace it method myself...… so glad my cars have coils on the plugs.

A megohmmeter or megger would be more practical than a hi-pot testor and is more widely used in aviation.
