Temporary Uavionix Tailbeacon

I bought a plane last year and it did not have adsb. I wanted to install a gps anyway so decided to go with a garmin GNX375 to get GPS and solve my adsb issue in one part.
Well the wait times keep growing on the garmins so I am debating on buying a used tailbeacon for now so that I can fly where I want and be seen.
So my question is, can you reprogram a used tailbeacon to a new plane. Anyone tried and have advice?

Of course, you can. Just imagine if someone changed their N# on their plane that had a tailBeacon and couldn't reprogram. Not cool, right? Same problem basically.
You will need the password that came with the original install kit.
