Yesterday I was at Knoxville Downtown Island airport, and this photo was on the wall at the FBO:

I had no idea it was so old, built in 1929! Its still sitting there on Clinton Highway in Knoxville, currently a barber shop, and we happen upon it every once in a while.

Interesting story here:

My uncle used to own a gas station in Odessa and Midland, Tx back in the 50s and 60s. As a kid I remember a picture of an old helicopter next to the gas pumps filling up. I have no idea what happened to that picture.

The Parachute Inn at Walnut Ridge airport in Arkansas uses a 737 fuselage as a dining room.

There was a B-17 over a gas station in the Portland, Oregon area for years. I remember seeing it as a kid in the 60's and 70's. According to Google, it was removed and it currently undergoing restoration.
