SWA Diversion - new airline rule?

All of them were. They worked hard and played hard. Umac came up with the 606 Infernal Anode Phantasatron, Signetics gave us the 25120 Write-Only Memory and National Semiconductor came up with the LM0901A1411090451C "Macropower, low performance, degraded circuit operational amplifier". That datasheet included performance graphs like the one below.

The live atc or similar utube vid of this was a bit off.
Cap’n told atc a 30yr experience cabin crew member was uncomfortable

The cabin crew and fellow passengers deserve catholic school rulers if they failed to talk to this man directly first.

The hysteria of hands up chanting made me cringe. Did they have to do that for the whole hour? I want more cabin video focused on the cabin crew

Headed to Paris from DFW a month after 9/11. Level off and FA rings and says there is a group of passengers acting suspiciously and synchronizing their watches. We started thinking about divert possibilities and called company. Dispatcher did some checking on seat locations and said there was group from a Japanese watch company on board. Turns out they had some advanced type watch and were comparing what the readouts were. We pressed on.

Had a middle eastern looking gent go in the head and start smoking…

Took his cigarettes and lighter. He had more.

Came out of the head on a third use without pants and was strolling around. Capt and I both had a gun, he had to pull rank to be the guy guarding the door as we diverted to Dulles to drop him off.

Would your response be different if he was a western European looking gent?

Nauga,
Donald Duckin' it

No need to duck, that’s a fair question. Nope. But wouldn’t have been as stressed… given history.

I had a copy of that Signetics data book. The write only device had a performance chart for number of pins vs number of socket insertions and required a 3’ cooling fan 3” from the device. Lots of chuckles.

See I was late with this.
