We joke that summer starts on July 5 around here, but here's what this afternoon looks like from home. The weather guessers on KOMO TV are saying that this is unusually good weather for the 4th around here. I'll take it.

That's funny. From my experience here, and no joke, I have always said Summer here, begins on July 5th. And, like you say, it started early today! the 4th is usually cool and rainy...

Also, Summer ends here August 15th.

We were at the game Tuesday night. When Ichiro leads off the seventh with only his third plate appearance, you know things aren't going well.
