I'm interested in pursuing a Sport Pilot Certificate near Lincoln, Nebraska, but can't seem to find anywhere within an hour+ drive that instructs with, or even rents, light sport aircraft. Does anyone have any leads? Previous posts (from years ago) point to either businesses that no longer exist, or ones that no longer have LSA available. I've considered doing most of my flight training locally, then temporarily relocating to complete the sport-specific hours, as I could afford to be in a different location for several weeks, but staying close to Lincoln would just be better.
The last guy I knew who went down that path bought part of an RV-12 (mine) to get his certificate. If KMLE isn't too far to go, there are at least 4 RV-12s based here and quite possibly at least one with equity shares for sale that would let you train in them.
