This is a bit of market research. What would you spend $10-20 on right now. Let's say a service. Something that you have been putting off? Something that you want fixed? Product? What product (that actually costs about that much, don't say a J-3 for $20) would you buy?

What would you easily spend a few bucks on at this very moment?

I don't know what you're selling but I'll take TWO!

Darn it I was going to say an airplane for twenty dollars. I think you need to be more specific in your question since around here $80 is a steal for an afternoon of yardwork, and buying myself and another pilot a fancy coffee can cost over $10. Don't know what "service" you can get for $20 around here. Probably nothing.

Something that you want fixed? Who would fix my anything for $10? Oh wait oh wait I know. I have a pair of heels that lost the little black tips on the bottoms. They poked a hole in the wood floor at work and I noticed they needed repair. I think re-heeling leather pumps is $12 at the shoe repair guy up North. There you go, a service I need done but have been putting off.

I can get serviced in the Tenderloin for $20...;)

I posted that just to see how long it would take you to say exactly that.

Memo to non San Franciscans: Please note he did not say "from a woman."

(Duct tape works well here)

Just bought five (or six, I forget) used CDs from Hastings on line. All-in, with shipping, less than a $20 bill. That felt like good value.

Selections included Marty Robbins, Weather Report, Floyd Cramer, Dean Martin and a pretty sound Beethoven's Third.

Is there any depravity to which you would not stoop? :dunno: I would think your commercial pilot's license would be at risk for posting that.

I thought this was a family web site.

Nope, I'm pretty much as depraved of a degenerate hedonist as they come. I can't recall this ever being a family web site since 2005. This to the best of my knowledge was a pilots board since the first day Chuck Haebrle opened it. Head over to a Quiet Birdman meeting and you'll notice they're also pretty much depraved sick and twisted degenerate hedonists as well, not a rare trait for pilots actually. There are no children with pilots licenses, and there is nothing in this post that isn't on Prime Time TV, so I'm not too concerned with corrupting them.

Wow I did an afternoon of yardwork today for $20 :(. Raked leaves, cut the grass, and planted 20 little pairs of 6 flowers. Okay...to Cali it is!

In theory there are children with pilot certs. Student pilot is a cert but if you want to get technical, PPL at 17 is under 18 which is accepted as a legal "adult" age. Really though, $20? Go to a bad part of any city, they'll do stuff for a cheeseburger (dollar menu!).

A case of my favorite whiskey.

What sort of rotgut swill are you drankin' A CASE for $10-$20???? JW Dant was 6.50 a fifth when I was in college.

If I had a crisp, free, $20 that I had to go spend right now, I'd walk into the Rhino (a bar here in town) and order a Pappy Rye 23, neat. Always wanted to try it, but its $250 a bottle if you can find it.

I think I'll apply it to this fill-up.

A haircut.

Just to rub it in, I flew in a Cub today that "squadron" members can fly for 30 min. for your $20... so yeah, I'd take that for $20.

Booze or a wad of lottery tickets. Both can get me closer to airplane ownership, just in different ways.

I get my bill on the annual tomorrow, so probably two shots of McCallum 18, neat.

Bag of dogfood for the furball and a double chocolate shake for me.

What is even available for $10 or $20 nowadays? Every time I step out the door to get something, it's a $50-$200 day.
Heck, I can't even fill the motorcycle up for $10 anymore and that's assuming it's not running on reserves.

Services? No way. I do my own work on everything. If they expect me to pay them for shoddy work, they can go do themselves.

I usually have a bit more than $20 in my pocket. If something good comes along, I'm not married to my money (actually, the alimony check is due!). In fact, I'm off to the airport for a lesson in a S300CBi. You want to see money disappear, try that.
I'm holding on to some change so I can by this years poppy from the Vets. They aren't as nice as years past, but the reason is good.

we use to have a allouette 3130 at 50 gph, that does a real good job as well

I'm with you there...haven't paid for a movie in years except for the theaters once/twice a year.

Wow, you have cheap gas.
I actually saw the price drop here (eastern CT). It was $4.08 yesterday, it is now $4.06. :yikes: I couldn't believe my eyes.

Now...back to the OP: I would buy a bottle of Dry Creek wine and then a lotto ticket or two with the change.
