Speaking of guns (NA)

Oh my word. Pure works of art. I'm saving my pennies for a Wilson Combat 1911.

In case others don't know, these are the best made firearms in the world. Pictures are worth 1,000 words.

Very nice Joyce. Thanks!

So when is the Wilson POA special offered (all features, fit, and finish but price competitive with Springfield base model - hey, we're pilots doncha know)?:wink2:

I like that centennial edition. I'm sure I could get in lots of trouble for spending that much coin. Beautiful work.

I have a Wilson Combat 870 (was my duty spitter for many years). Beautiful, smooth, fast, accurate, the best shotgun I have ever handled.

Actually never heard of them, but I do like very much.

I'm guessing the price tag is as out-of-this-world as the photos.

Ted,

Wilsons are custom made firearms with a lot of hand finishing. They are very high end, with a price tag to match. They are VERY well thought of in the firearm world, especially the 1911's. You get what you pay for.

Wilson Combat, Les Baer and Ed Brown seem to be the upper strata of the custom 1911 market.

They certainly look beautiful and if their form, fit, and function are anything like the looks, I can understand the price tag and am sure it is well worth the cost.

Unfortunately, my firearm budget is pretty low, so I'll have to drool for now. :)

I can probably talk our sales manager into the 'friends of Joyce' discount :wink2:but they don't let me do much with the gunshop. I just happened to find this section on the website and thought you all might enjoy the pictures. I get to see some of the specialty guns produced but not many of them. Keeping it somewhat aviation related, I got to fly Bill and our Sales Manager, John, down to Llano to present one of the Texas Ranger guns in person :D a year of so ago.

Joyce,

Glad to see many of your 1911's don't have front slide serrations. I just don't like them. Guess I am a traditionalist. Its not that I won't buy a gun with them, I just perfer not to have them.

Oh wow - what a gorgeous slideshow! :)
I'll say those things are so pretty it almost needs a disclaimer stating you have to be 18 or older to view the content.

But it also made me mad. When my father in law passed away one of his friends stole a few of his collectible guns. I had my eye on the 45 cal 1911 that he had. Or at least I would have liked to have seen it stay in the family instead of being auctioned off with many of the other guns. But the rat bastard "Friend" took it and we could never track him down.

I hope that the cutting and pasting of this email I got is not going to cause anyone any problems. If it is, it can be deleted. I didn't know how else to get it here. There are some mighty nice looking guns in here, and maybe some suggestions on how to be able to afford them.

Photos of a Mexican Drug Lord's home after being Raided....
WOW, NO WONDER WE ARE LOSING THIS WAR...

Home of a Mexican Drug Lord being raided

Yes, That is cash piled on that table in the background!

download

Just a small collection of guns - these people are not really dangerous at all.....

download

Yes, that is real gold on these guns!

download

Gold and Titanium 45 Calibre semi automatic pistols - they found 16 like this

Go and kill in the name of the Lord my son! There was a matched pair of these found.

357 Magnum semi automatic with solid gold grips.

This guy had a better gun collection than most legitimate museums do

Just a quaint little villa in the hills - Drug money bought it all!

Man-made cave and hot tub inside the home

A collection of exotic animals - which were cared for in the grandest fashion by the way

Exotic art collection - some of which was illegal to own - some stolen

More guns than you could ever imagine!

download

This pile of cash before it was counted was estimated to be approximately 18 Billion Dollars!
After it was counted it turned out to be a little more than 22 Billion Dollars!

download

From another angle

download

Guns were hidden all over the house, along with ample ammo, just in case of trouble.

download

Stacks of cash were found in every nook and cranny...

download

This case is filled with 100 dollar Bills estimated to be 1/2 a million dollars and no
doubt headed out to make another drug by perhaps from the Columbians.

download

18 plastic bins filled with 100 dollar bills were found...

download

Another cabinet stack tight with cash - all 100's.

download

More 100's

download

Each of these stacks of 100's holds 250,000 (a quarter of a million dollars)!
They also had millions in Columbian money and Mexican Pesos although they preferred

American dollars for the most part.

There were even stacks of Chinese Yuan found in one closet.

download

More Gold machine guns and pistols - most were never fired, just held for collection value.

They just burned it all down!

The money and valuables found in this one house alone, would be enough to pay for health insurance for every man woman and child in the USA for 12 years!
There are believed to be approximately 27 more of these houses in Mexico alone,
not to mention the ones in other countries who are enriching themselves in the drug trade. These people have so much money, they make the Arab oil sheiks look like welfare recipients.
Their money can buy the best politicians, the best cops, the best judges, whatever they need they just throw down stacks of cash and it is theirs!
This is why the drug problem is so difficult to fight.

The Drug Enforcement Agency estimates that 90% of this money came from purchasers in the USA and without that market the business of the Drug Cartels would collapse. Mexico is not the problem, it's the USA that is the problem!

John, what exactly was the point of that?

Sorry, but it appears to have lost the point. When I posted it there were pictures there. I double checked after posting, but they seem to have since disappeared.

There were some pictures of some really beautiful looking, and some really mean looking guns. I thought it fit in well with the original post. The fact that they were interspersed among what was probably billions of dollars drug-dealer cash was an aside.

I wanted to post a link so it wouldn't take so much room but I didn't have the link. But I thought the whole thing was interesting so I took a risk and posted the whole thing. My apologies.

I've seen that email, too, John, and I do see how you felt it related - some unbelievably beautiful weapons there.

The reason the pictures appeared for you is that your paste included links to your mail server for the photos. Go up to your original post and click Quote to see the hmtl code.
