Yesterday (a beautiful day around Atlanta) we had to do a maintenance check flight in one of the Lear 25s. We picked up my son, a 130 hour private pilot, and got him about 30 minutes of multi time. He did good and had that Very Big Grin.

I say, first- medicinal wine from a teaspoon,
then beer from a bottle
And the next thing you know your son is playin'
for money in a pinchback suit"

....hear him talk about, horse race gambling.....

Not a wholesome trottin' race, no!
But a race where they set down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey'boy
Sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil?
Well, I should say.

Actually he's done all that stuff (maybe not in a pinchback suit, though). So, I shoulda got him into music instead of aviation?:P

Dunno, interesting similarities. When I was flying, I never told Mom I was a pilot. She always thought I played piano in a whorehouse.

Lance:

We discussed you adopting me...
Yes, that could work. I'm looking for somebody to take care of me in my rapidly approaching old age.
