Taxi to Parking
Last week I flew out to a local airport to purchase a juvenile tortoise for a pet. I call her Rosie, she's a 3-month-old South American red-footed tortoise, Chelonoidis carbonaria. I'll post up some photos as soon as I download them from my camera. She's a cute little thing.
There are a number of things I wanted to get for her (I think Rosie is a she, though it is a touch difficult to tell when they're young) little world, including a nice big water dish that she could easily get into and out of. I started poking around on Amazon, and looked at one just like this:
I thought the ones on Amazon were just a touch pricey, and wound up buying one on Ebay.
So yesterday, a box arrives from Amazon. It contains pictured water dish.
Alzheimers runs in my family, and I am becoming convinced that perhaps I am a sufferer. I have no memory at all of ordering this from Amazon. None. Amazon has no history of me ordering this, though they also don't show th ebooks I bought last July. I check my financials, and I haven't paid for one. I then call Amazon (I don't want to get charged for this).
The gal who answers the phone looks and looks, and winds up concluding that the store that sent this thing (with two-day shipping no less) gave it to me as a gift. I don't know these guys from Adam, never saw or met them. Weird.
I guess I should look at more stuff on Amazon.
