This might not be the correct forum but does anyone know how to rejuvenate the micro suction sticky edges of a Slap Shade. The one I have seems to be loosing its stickiness. It will stay up a few minutes but will fall off if I don’t keep pressing it up against the wind screen. Mine also developed a slight crease (something was laying on it in the back seat) so I wonder if a heat gun and some weight might smooth that out?

Thx
Leo

I'd 1st contact Slap Shade and ask them for input since they have always said their micro suction lasts forever. Who knows, maybe you'll get a freebee? Have hear they have great customer service.

I tried to send them an email asking this question but got no response. I will try again.

I thought this was going to be about shade tree A&Ps or hangar fairies.

Sometimes a vinyl cling type of material takes a water & soap wash to “reactivate”. However, as above, using the phone is the best bet so as to not make it worse or void any type of return.

Please return here and let us know what the fix was, or how customer service was.

If this is a static cling thing, I've recharged a similar one by rubbing it on my head like a balloon. Leaving it in sunlight should be enough to uncrease it. Cleaning it with windex is probably enough to get the dust and oils off.

Same here. At first I saw “Slip Shode Maintenance” and thought this was a thread about “garbage AnP’s” ;)

I was hoping for something related to ShamWow.
