I’ve been looking around for student/renter’s insurance and come across Skywatch. I’m a bit unclear on how it works- plans by the day/week/month? Do you only insure days that you’re going flying? Thanks.

I realize this is an older post, but thought I'd chime in as I've found Skywatch to be a good option, albeit without having the need to submit a claim.

They offer renter's insuance by the day/week/month/year. I'm just getting back into flying. Close to 10 years ago, I was flying 100-150 hours a year and flying almost every month. I will probably fly a third of that now, and will take entire months off. So it takes sense to buy a policy for the months that I will be flying, rather than for the year. While they offer daily and weekly rates, they are so close to the monthly rate that I don't see the value in them.
