Site login expiration time is too short

Nearly every other discussion forum leaves me logged in indefinitely. But PoA logs me out in something like 60 minutes. Why?

Same here. Well, not years, but I can count the number of times I've logged in on one hand.
 
Yep, if you don't click "stay logged in" then the cookie is only good for 60 minutes and isn't (easily) changeable. This is the way all XenForo-based forums work. If you click "stay log in" I think it gets set for 30 days (and refreshes).

I must be looking in the wrong place, but I looked everywhere in the "Account" page and I don't see that box. If someone can attach a screenshot of that box, I would appreciate it.

If I recall correctly, it isn't a setting on the account page. Rather, on the login page where you enter user name and password, there is a checkbox for 'keep me logged in'.

It’s at the bottom of the sign in box.

when the username is emansadoosh the button changes to "Stay logged off".
 
The stay logged in button is behind the closed baggage door.
