Single Piece Panel

I want to put a single piece panel in my plane. The local avionics shop quoted me $15k and that just seems higher than it should be. They said they order the panel from a vendor and they install it.

Can anyone please recommend a shop for doing the single piece panel? The aircraft is a PA28. Location doesn't matter, but prefer east of the mississippi

Contact a shop that fabricates and STCs panels like Avion. Use that discussion to benchmark discussions with your local shops. Most panel replacements, especially when redesigning, are considered major alterations and require approved data. It's not a simple sheetmetal swap with a few holes punched out. There's a lot of labor involved in some cases.
