Learnin’ to fly…
There is a blimp flying over the Chicago suburbs today. Was curious- what blimp, where did it come from, where is it going? Apparently - the blimp no habla ‘ADSB out’. Don’t know if that is true of all blimps or not.

Yep. It’s a slow day.

2 of 3 kids are out of state, and the one who is home is out and about.

Too hot and humid to fly or do yardwork - or really be outside much. House, cars, and plane are all clean. Have commitments in the morning, so can’t go out of town or go to the boat.

So, I’m sharing my blimp news. That is all.

Don't know what blimp you had but I have some minor familiarity with the Goodyear's. One of them is based in Akron, and we see them as they head out for all over the country. Appear fully-ADSB....gotta be painful to see 40 knot cruise.

On a rare occasion they have used KBJJ. for training. Our house over-looks the runway from a hill just North, and I have watched them, given perfect wind conditions, actually back up on the runway for several hundred feet. That's control!

Looks like it was Goodyear. Surprised it was not showing up on ADSB - but - I was on the ground looking at ForeFlight ‘internet traffic’ which is not always as good. They are amazing to watch. Looking forward to seeing it in Oshkosh in a few weeks.

It was. Friend of mine saw it.
