Selling a registration N number

The airplane I've leased out will need a new paint job next year. It came with an N number that I consider the aircraft equivalent of car "vanity plates". It might be desirable and of more value to someone else. How does one go about auctioning or marketing an N number? I understand the process of transferring the reg, just not how to find an interested party to buy it.

The actual N number isn't important so I'm not posting it yet! (It references a major sports team).

I’d post on the Facebook site for the major sports team that you’d consider changing your N-number if someone wants to make it worth your while.

Yay! Long overdue. That scumbag has screwed a lot of people. I think it might be an RVer, because a fair number of people in a particular RV community vigorously defend his “right” to do so.
