I have two places that get 3&1/4” sceet (air filter to turbo inlet) and everytime I remove the lower cowl the tubing gets a little more wear; abraded silicone, popping wires, dangling threads; you know the drill.

I am wondering if anyone has seen a treatment for the ends; I am imagining a vulcanization of the last 2”....or maybe a different product entirely.

Thoughtful, helpful input will be glady & gratefully entertained.

I'd contact Guy Ginbey and ask him to fabricate a custom duct for you.

Look better, perform better, last forever. N77GB@MSN.com

just have to wonder about liquid heat shrink...or something like that. But it would have to be compatible with silicone.

+1 on this ^^^^. The people I used are no longer in business but having ducts made with the reinforced ends does save money. I did it mainly on helicopters but also did several on airplanes. I believe there are a number of people who do this.

You need "Custom Duct." He is very good.
