This might be an idiot question - ok, ok, it IS.

I've got an Anderson SB50 connection for a battery minder. I'd like to have a battery minder on it to help with the vampire load of the clock circuit.

Maybe I'm just being dense, but I don't see any battery minders with an SB50 connection. What am I missing?

Well, there's this absurdly priced solution
https://www.batteryminders.com/batt...face-kit-for-use-with-faa-certified-aircraft/

I'm not sure of the degree to which that kit solves for the FAA. Pretty much everything in that kit is available on Amazon for a fraction of that price. I have no idea of the legality of that though.

I think something like this + this

I don't trust amazon quality much. 10 AWG seems sturdy.

Oh, wait. You already have the connector on the plane itself. Then the solution is easy peasy. Just wire in an Andersen connector to your battery minder. As long as you can figure out the polarity, it's easy. If you can't sort out the polarity, you shouldn't be doing it :).

I'm not following the original question either. Maybe reads like - 1) You have an Anderson SB50 connector on your aircraft. and 2) You have a battery minder with a different kind of connector.

If that's it, and if the battery minder is the same voltage as your aircraft (12 and 12 or 24 and 24), then you just need to make up an adapter cable. Should be easy, and should be less than $20 or so for all the materials, new retail. If you post pics of the connectors someone can probably post links to buy them. I don't know Anderson SB50's, but I buy Anderson 30s for ham radio stuff all the time from Amazon, and from the right supplier they're fine.

I have the SB50 in my airplane

I do not have a battery minder and want to buy one, but I don't see one with that connector.

They don't sell one with that connector, but it's pretty easy to scare up the connector and either direct wire it on the output wire from the battery minder, or get a prewired one that has the right connector on each end. The only challenge with the latter is the polarity might not match and you'd have to verify it before using it. I did the latter to retain the battery minder original connection. The battery minder end with some wire attached is easily found at an autoparts store and the Andersen end on Amazon.

I do see the battery minder has polarity protection on the cord it and comes with a reverser attachment.

I think I'm set
