SAIB on Alodine

Yeah, not a big deal, merely allowing a alodine sign off with another name.

Yep, quite mundane, but there are places where it is mandated that there be zero deviation from the process standard or repair documentation. This is a blanket blessing to deviate due to a supplier initiated change.

Specifically this only applies to ADs, which is really the only place it was ever potentially an issue.

$153,961 in federal dollars to accommodate a name change.
When in fact, for the next 40-50 years Not a Single Mechanic is going to remember to call it "Bonderite".

And it shouldn't have been. Henkel still shows their registers trademark "Alodine" on their website, and when doing BONDERITE products search, Alodine is also listed. For example from product list: BONDERITE M-CR 1200S AERO CHROMATE COATING (Known as ALODINE 1200S AERO).
