I spent 2.5 days (so far) at Hicks Field, TX working on the first Vans aircraft to fly, the RV-1. An organization called "Friends of RV-1" is making this old bird airworthy again, it has been sitting for 20 years in a barn. When done it will fly it to SnF and several other flyins in 2012 before heading for it's final to OSH and the EAA museum. It is powered by a 125 hp, O-290g. Fabric covered. Its a modified Stitts Playboy. http://rv-1.org/ Donation deeply appreciated. Thanks for looking.
