    There is a video floating around on Instagram of the accident. Aircraft were landing into a setting sun. No way you would see the 172 over the nose of a t-28. Judging by the impact and fireball one can only hope the 172 pilot went quickly. Most likely a case of someone being on the wrong frequency.

    It was a C-152, student and instructor aboard. Last I heard the CFI was still in critical condition.

    KCPM has no tower, and has two closely-spaced parallel runways, that share the traffic pattern on the south side of the airport (left traffic for both 25L&R, right traffic for both 7L&R).

    The runways are aligned true east-west, so as we're near the equinox the setting sun is right in line with the runways.
