Hey all,

I was wondering what is required to log sim time? Today I had the privilege to be one of the first and very few people to log .5 in the s-97 raider sim so far and .5 in the UH-60M simulator. Both were at the factory. Big, full, 360 degree with full cockpits, etc. I sat right seat.

Not really interested in using it toward qual or a ticket, I'd just like to log it officially if at all possible so I have it on record.

I've got to say, I did reasonable for being a fixed wing guy. Was able to sit it down alright.

Interestingly enough, the s-97 had a Garmin 430 installed along with a Garmin transponder

Can't use it as flight time or total time. You can use it for instrument time if IMC was set up in the sim.

Doesn't really count much for future employment. Records show I've got 289.9 of UH-60 (2B-38) sim time but the only hours I used on my resume were instrument time with a "authorized instructor."

Same 61.51 rules as logging any other sim time. It's dual and (if that is what you did) instrument time (but not instrument flight time) so long as a CFI with the proper ratings endorsed it.

Training time
Pilot time
Simulated instrument time (as long as the external visuals were off or in cloud)

...and not flight time.
