My wife took a fall and cracked her pelvis, and wound up in the hospital for a short stay and is getting some rehab in our local Nursing Home at this time. It was impossible for me to make it to Gastons this year as bad as I wanted to be there. As most of you know she also has cancer of the bone marrow and so she needed three units of blood while in the hospital. She is working real hard on the rehab as we have a grand daughter getting married on the 30 of June and she wants to be in attendance. I have had to cut back on my flying a little but am still getting in the air some. I want to thank my forum friends for their support, as it is a comfort to me.

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers:

Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to Mrs Essie the help of your power, that her sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Add my prayer to that, as well.

Thank you for the update.

I am continuing to pray for her. I know it's not an easy time for either of you.

Bob:

You know we miss you here, but you are exactly where you need to be. Essie and you are in my prayers, and we will raise our glasses for you both this morning at brunch.

Bob, that wasn't an empty promise. We did as Spike promised.

You and Essie are in our thoughts, and you were missed.

ADD ME ALSO.

Thanks to the both of you, when I read that it brought a tear to my eyes. I wanted to be there, but it wasn't in the cards this year.

Bob: So sorry to learn of your queen's latest discomfort. Your pain is felt in Maine; to y'all, our prayer goes there.

Spike was good to his word and we raised a glass in thoughts of you and your wife this morning in Arkansas, Bob.

I just caught up to this thread and now know why.

Warm thoughts and prayers to you both.

19 days until the big day. Prayers for your wife and the rest of your family and best wishes for your granddaughter.
