Working on this swap with my A&P who hasn't done one of these before.

The KI209 indicator was powered by the KX155 which has a "Switched Power Output" on its pin 12, to pin 8 of the KI209.

The GNC255 does not have a similar power output to drive the indicator. The indicator power draw is minimal - 50mA.

Does anyone know where power is typically drawn from to power the indicator? I'm guessing this must be a common issue with the number of KX155s being swapped out.

Why wouldn't it be wired to the breaker powering the nav radio?

That is our default plan. Neither of us have experience with installing this combination hence my asking.

Throw it on the 255 breaker or if you have the space and want to be "extra" you could give it a dedicated breaker on the same bus.
