You know, you can get this stuff called "Shoe Goo" in the hardware store that works a whole lot better than RTV.

Used that stuff to do a redneck repair on my bike. I'd just buy a pair of new shoes, they're pretty cheap.

I'm fairly certain the insole was intended to be removable by design. Why Permatex it in solid?

Well, I've never had occasion to remove an insole, so I didn't think that feature was especially important.

Whoa, Rich! Try buying new gel insert insoles every year. Your feet will thank you!

You really thought that out.hope you used the quick dry.

Shoe Goo + duct tape FTW.

I like wearing high-top Converse All-Stars (most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn), but they get holes in the sole after a few months of wear.

Duct tape the inside, put a Dr. Scholl's insert in them, and then Shoe Goo the sole. Good for several more months of wear.

If you wash your shoes, or get them soaked for whatever reason, they will dry a lot faster if the insoles are removed.
