Recommendation for Long commercial XC

Departing out of KADC or KBRD.

Prefer to make it a day trip. Something off the beaten path.

Any recommendations?

Draw a circle 250 nm around the airports....anything look interesting? There's always the EAA museum at KOSH.

Beaver Island, MI? I'd just concentrate more on facilities & weather as the time approaches. Have a few directions & destinations in mind to choose from. Isn't it more of a refuel & quick bite then RTB anyway? I doubt you'll be spending the afternoon at a museum.

Why not? That would be a far more interesting way of doing it. Heck, you could go somewhere overnight for that matter.

The Minam Lodge. The distance is sufficient, it's off the beaten path, and you can get a meal or spend the night when they are open.
