I'm looking for a recommendation for a specific mount to put my GoPro or Insta360 One X on the jury strut or strut on the Cub.
I have the Ram "C" clamp style, and they don't work on the strut.

Thanks in advance.

All of the flightflix mounts are very good..a bit pricey but good.

I can get the GoPro "roll bar" mount to go nicely on the step of my Navion. It might fit the Cub struts.

I'd highly recommend a case like this for whatever camera you get as I trust a bit more solid connection to the camera: https://amzn.to/3fNlJXa
And as @midlifeflyer recommended, the MyPilotPro mount works pretty well and has had no issues on aircraft it's been used on in my circles: https://amzn.to/2Nla9q5
If I was buying again, I'd probably by this one next: https://amzn.to/2YWUBhM
I have been using those cases for awhile now. They are fantastic for screw on lens options. I use a ND4 and circular polarizer stacked.....but they are heavy and if put in a high vibration location seem to exceed the Gopros stabilization capability. If I mount it in my overhead it shakes too much. But up on the windshield it works great. Out in the air with the larger front lens it seems to shake too much...except when pulling power back.

As for the last picture I think that extra ram mount (straight extension) might also add some shake (which gives the jello effect). Nothing wrong with the ran mount just extends the moment arm out farther.

I have had the best luck with a flightflix which is directly coupled to the gopro case. So only one degree of freedom (tilt).

However all of this is probably a function of location on the plane, air speed, prop balance, etc. So what doesnt work for our setup might work great on yours.
