Real or fake? RC helo lifts a person

I have no reason to believe it's a fake... The R/C technology is getting better everyday. I believe this happened, but I don't know how long they could sustain that power output. Who knows. CG animation is great too!

Assuming this really happened, somehow I suspect that if the FAA hears about this, they will find a way to go after whoever was operating the drone.

Under what regulation?

I think it was in Spain

If you think about it, modern airliners are all fly by wire anyway. It wouldn't be much of a leap to connect up wireless control systems and make an RC 777.

I'm not saying you should, just that you could.

There is some very theoretical discussion about replacing the co-pilot on Part 121 airliners with a data link system to a central "emergency pilot" facility so if the one live pilot is incapacitated, the folks on the ground can land the plane. They wouldn't need one ground pilot for each flight, just enough that even with the worst imaginable number of pilots keeling over simultaneously you'd have enough to cover those emergency aircraft. You could make a huge cut in the number of pilots needed that way, and we really are facing a significant pilot shortage over the next 15 year or more. Whether that would sell to the public is an even more difficult question to answer.

let's assume that first video is real for a sec.......WTF does she have to have her pocketbook for?!?! that's just weird, put the f'n purse down, woman!

I think that's part of her costume.

Do you really think that the FAA has nothing better to do than focus on crap like this??? They are government workers, they don't want to do any work unless they really need to.

They went after the dude flying his drone in Dallas last fall based no a youtube video

Ah, see, when you've got a major boot fetish, you don't notice minor stuff like a pocketbook. Speaking of which, I haven't heard a purse referred to as a "pocketbook" since the 70's.

Looks real to me. Figure she weighs 115-120 means 75lb lift capacity, yeah I can see that, plus I can hear that level of force going on, so I believe it's real.

This is fake right?
If it's on the Internet and you're tempted to ask, there is only one answer.

And on the very remote chance that she actually let them lift her in the air, on a first attempt, over a concrete deck next to a low railing with a three-story drop, then she's got to be dumber than a bag of hammers.
