Um, yeah... about that... The man is a poser. Note that he has three stripes, not four. He's a commander, not a captain. Unless he actually is in active command of a ship, in which case I suppose he could be called captain.

I was taught that anyone in command of anything that floats is to be addressed as Captain, so yeah. The bigger question is why Crunch has been passed over for O-6 so many times.
