Do the Hotel Rooms at Gastons include a hair dryer or do I need to pack one?

Missa

It's so humid there your hair is going to be wet all day anyway. Which is why I am shaving the head down tonight or tomorrow.

You are not part of the fairer sex and shaving my head is just not an option for me.

Can a woman refer to another woman as being from the fairer sex?

I second the head shave. It feels wonderful down there.

Good, anything she doesn't pack means more room for the dogs. :)

how many dogs are you bringing ted? are they going to crap on my bed like Piper?

I think im going to get a haircut today too.

Piper was just showing how much he loved you!

lol i know nick. i was just giving you and ted a hard time anyway...i actually thought it was pretty funny at the time

No worries, Nick, my dog has never crapped in anyone's bed. But there's a first time for everything... ;)

Actually, my dog is staying home, maybe next year he'll come. He hates vehicles anyway. One of my passengers (whose destination is Oklahoma, hence me dropping off Adam and Missa and then taking back off again) is bringing her two dogs (10 and 15 lbs). Additionally, we're combining the return trip with another Animal Rescue Flight, and bringing three pit bulls with us from Oklahoma, dropping one off with Adam at KILG and the other two will stay the night in CT and then head up to Maine the next day. So, it'll be two dogs down and five dogs coming back.

Have truck, will travel. :)

Ted, I sure hope I like you as much in person as I do in forum; I'd hate to have an excellent impression harmed!

Flying animals at great expense, for the right reasons. Alright by me.

Yeah Spike, Ted's an all round nice guy. Plus if you're nice to him he'll even provide you with some of that wonderful SI1049D Kool-Aid :-).

By the way Ted are you bringing any Lycoming swag to 3M0?

Sweet, I've been upgraded to non-dog status!!
I thought I was just one of them.

Don't you have a jump door on that thing? Give Adam and Missa 'chutes and add skydiving to the list of activities.

you forgot to mention the wine, sixtel of beer and jello shots that will go down but not back.

Adam. You're a lawyer. ANY change in status is a step-up.

I think you've got the wrong Adam. :D
Nevertheless, I feel like I've been upgraded to first class.

Sounds like you, Hayden, and the dogs will be enjoying the ride in the back of the Aztruck.

No, I called shotgun!!!!!

Do you have Hayden? Is he comming in the Aztec too?

I wasn't planing tapping the sixtel till about a hour or two after we get to Gatons... I would hate to imagne what would happen if we tapped it durring the flight.... Ted would never let me back in his airplane.

Sure do, and I apologize profusely for calling you the L-word. On the bright side, you probably won't sue for slander. As a good engineer, you will probably cause physical damage to something.

Hayden will be making the voyage with us, yes.

It happens to be most fortuitous that this trip coincides with a rescue that needs to be done, and furthermore that my plane has the capbilities to do it in addition to transport the four of us. The more I fly my Aztec, the more I am glad of its truck-like abilities.

Unfortunately I haven't been supplied with the special blue SI1094D Kool-Aid, mainly because I forgot to ask for it. We'll see if I can scrounge up some stuff, though... :)

Adam, if you want, you're always welcome to sit in back with the dogs, but you'll have to get some right-seat time in, so plan on that. Hayden, however, I have a special place for. ;)

So did anyone else notice the question for the fairer sex has more post by men then women?
Yea I know I just added to the men count.

Depends on your definition of "fair":

If by fair, you mean beautiful, then women are the "fairer" sex
If by fair, you mean "consistent, just, evenhanded"... Wellllll.....

Well... in man-ese, the thread title really reads, "******* *** *** ****** SEX!" - how can we resist reading/responding? :D

Electical and mechanical engineers design weapons systems, civil engineers design targets.

You are not part of the fairer sex and shaving my head is just not an option for me.

I play softball with a girl on our co-ed team who cuts her hair shorter than I do. So it is in fact an option.

No, I called shotgun!!!!!

.

FAR 231.76(b) Calling of Shotgun to PIC commonly referred to as SIC shall ONLY be permited when two or more passengers have the same rating. If said passangers do not have the same rating then the passenger with the higest rating that is not PIC is designated SIC or shotgun.

And as I recall AdamB has his IR.

Two words, Missa:

Pony Tail

And yes, I am qualified to answer this question, since I have to deal with girl hair every day. Not like Ted, mind you (:rofl::rofl:), but actual girl hair for my daughters. Plus I have to listen to my wife ***** and moan about how long it takes for her to dry her hair.

I opened that "for men only" thread which someone posted a few days ago but couldn't answer that question any more than this one...

Missa, I asked my "fairer sex" companions, they don't recall there being any hair dryers in the bathrooms--but they said "as a girl, you'll want your own anyway, the hotel ones are never good enough."

Missa,

Our cabin has hair dryers provided. I can't speak for the "motel rooms" but I can check in the morning if you like. Or you can run down to our room and use ours...

I'm not as picky as most girls about my hairdryer, as long as it gets the stff near my face dry the rest can air it. Right now I'm packed, sans hairdryer.

For the record, turns out our cabin DOES have a hotel-style hairdryer mounted on the wall (Sunbeam).

Am I the only one that couldn't find an outlet for my own hair dryer in the bathroom in the cabins closest to the flight line? After all, it would have been rude to wake everyone else up in the room.
