Beef and broccoli with onions, garlic, soy sauce, stir fried. Mix in some sliced water chestnuts.

I always skip this dish in the buffet, too hard to serve around the nasty green brocco-junk.

Anyone have suggestions if you find the shaft getting soft and flaccid? You know, as it gets older? I am afraid my SO will get rid of it if its not as firm as it once was. No one likes old broccoli I guess..
