Published runway length

[Salty]

I just became aware that I have never understood this correctly. Curious if others have the same confusion as I did.

[Doc Holliday]

Are we talking TORA, TODA, ASDA or LDA?

[Salty]

We’re talking what’s on the sectional

[Doc Holliday]

Then it’s TORA and TODA

[nauga]

We’re talking what’s on the sectional

Length of the longest runway including displaced thresholds, not including overruns.

Nauga,
whose count is one

There ya go.

Interesting thoughts.

Local airport had some wires moved underground. Threshold moved to have some of formerly displaced threshold be part of the runway. Published the length changed.

and the FAA Aeronautical Chart Users' Guide for those who would like to know "what's on the sectional" is *supposed* to reflect, at least until 7 August 2025.
