I'm on my second KA-134 and now that I'm planning to replace my KX-170 I was also thinking of replacing the audio panel as well. I have a marker beacon display already in the panel. I was thinking the the PMA-4000 would meet the need. It would also replace my intercom. The PMA-4000 would fit in an empty hole versus taking space in the stack. This is for a '68 Cardinal and a VFR pilot.
Secondly, I am considering the Flightline 760 as my second radio in another panel hole.

Does anyone have any experience with a PMA-4000 and/or have an informed opinion?

The 177 doesn't exactly have an over abundance of panel space so I lean toward integrated stuff, individual radios are space hogs and add weight. I have one 3" round hole left that may get a Trutrak autopilot in the future. I'm sure what you want to do would work fine.
