I think it all depends on the person. Some people just have that "mechanical?" mind. Like my old roomate first time flying I let him have the controls and on base to final he felt it getting slow and dropped the nose with no prompt just mentioned he felt he was getting slow. I would have had no problem with him landing it if it was my plane. Others i've flown with squeak and drop the controls at the first bump.

That was cool to watch. Reminds me of reading the beginning of The Hatchet. He did a phenomenal job. And the instructor did an amazing job as well considering the situation he put the passenger in.

Or when you mash the rudder when you're showing them the controls and they've finally gotten comfortable.... girlfriend is still mad at me for that one. =D
