Pre-buy recommendations Cessna 182 south of Indianapolis

I am searching for an info on anyone who’s had experience with any shops in and around the Indianapolis area. I have been kicking the tires on a 182 for sale and looking to possibly get something lined up.

There is a mechanic at Anderson (KAIA) who does Indy Air's work. Not sure if he works solely for them or not. Unless Indy Air is where you are looking at the 182 you might call.

I recently purchased a Grumman Tiger from Indy Air Sales located in Anderson IN and had a prebuy inspection performed by
Michael Harter ph 317-586-7753 email [email protected] . He is located just north of Indianapolis and completed the prebuy within a few days of being contacted. He is not connected to the the shop at Indy Air Sales. His charge was $1,000 . I found him to be detailed in his inspection and he included numerous pictures of squawks that the seller fixed before the sale was completed. He was recommended by another a&p in the area. I hope this helps.

Don't have a recommendation for a pre buy guy, but just wanted to wish you luck with this. Hope it goes well, but don't be afraid to walk away if too many things pop up. There's always another airplane.
