I'll be starting my PPL training this summer, but I want to do as much as I can over the next few months to get ahead of the curve.
I have my flight sim set up already and have been bouncing around various tutorial sites and youtube videos, but it's kind of all over the place.

I've learned a ton already, but am curious if there's a more structured source for self learning out there.

And be wary of using the sim at this stage. Too easy to pick up bad habits that will lots of expensive time to unlearn.

But... I like doing barrel rolls in the Cessna. :goofy:

In all seriousness I do recognize that it's a long ways away from the real thing so I'm mostly using it to try and understand navigation aids vs. the flight control aspects.

Free FAA publications such as the Airplane Flying Handbook and Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge are good places to start.
