Those are really nice, but I agree, Kate's needs to be in there too!

Judging is on Sundays with the pics shown the following Thursday, from what I understand. So if mine gets in there, it would show up this Thursday.
Too good? Naaaahhhhh....
It's in there! And Pete got one in, too!

Cool they used my pic! Kate, yours isn't half bad either
Kate, I'll let you know as soon as we start up at HXF again. I am hoping for a dry and nice spring so we can start flying before June.

Yeah, I looked for the reduced-size versions of the pics, but apparently they only make 'em for the pics that make it into AvFlash or something.

Wow. How did I miss this thread? Great pics everyone.
The night I took that picture (the one with the helicopter and the approach lights) winds were pretty gusty. I think peak gusts were 30 +. It was so fun to watch the airliners fly over my head (literally) while crabbing into the wind. At first I wasn't going to go, but I am glad I went to the airport that night.

Baja Taxi, this week's first runner-up:
I thought I was going to lose to the dog that made #4. Oh well. At least now I know to photoshop in a sunset next time

Yes, but the text is perhaps even more important:
'The Fredricks rescued this airport from closure and disrepair and have turned it into a wonderful Midwest flying resort area. Each year, there is a growing Labor Day fly-in with camping on the field for the pilots, and the whole town turns out for a barbecue and airplane rides.'
