Friday (tomorrow) we have 2 planes volunteering to transport hundreds of pounds of dog & cat food from west central Indiana to eastern Kentucky for continued hurricane relief for a shelter in North Carolina. We need another plane and pilot to transport about 250 remaining pounds (not necessarily tomorrow). PM me if interested and I can put you in touch with the coordinator.

From where to where? I’m doing a PnP flight tomorrow.

KLAF to around Johnson City, TN
Well hell, I was planning on stopping in Johnson city on my way to Daytona Monday. Looking at a machine before continuing on..but weather doesn't look like it's going to cooperate.

0a4 or TRI?

Im leaving for KTRI today or tomorrow. If I leave today I'd be up for it. But tomorrow time gets too tight for me to pull off my mission.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper and far more efficient to pack up one car or truck with all the pet food rather than send it with 3 different airplanes? Its not like the main roads are closed down and impassable. Even more efficient would have been monetary donations and just having the shelter buy the food from a neighboring town that wasn't affected by the hurricane.

Maybe so, but PnP is used for dog, cat, and other critter rescue. This just so happened to be a food donation that was matched by Hills. All the pup contacts (pilots and their planes) were already in place and this was just a different thing to do with our skills and planes. It was a nice day to fly, so why not.
