Might depend on the model. You’re probably correct.

The first ones were Conti powered (46-310T). -350T and beyond are Lyco. Both variants are stressed for the application demands, which explains the failures imo.

This one is N4385K, listed as a 1984 model PA-46 310P, which is Continental powered.
