Plane down on Long Island

Got a kick out of the photo caption: "partially submerged". Technically correct but only about four inches of the tail sticking out of the water.

Never liked that feeling when aloft and listening to another aviator having trouble -- have heard that a number of times now.

The article says they were taken "for evaluation" which tends to be better news than "injured" in these articles. Hope they're doing okay.

Hope the best for the pilot and passenger.

Better than most reporters at flood sites, where the water level is up to the door handles yet they're trying to hype the situation by pointing out "the fully submerged cars!!" :D:D

At least the pilot put it down near shore, and has just a dramatic story to tell instead of any long-term injuries.

Exactly. I also forgot to mention that the plane was right side up at the time I saw it. By now yeah it's probably completely submerged. Water didn't seem to deep so whatever you see in the picture
